Matrix of reporting fields

To simplify setting up a report it would be very useful if there was a matrix listing all fields showing which reports the field is available in and whether the field is available as a filter, for display or as a sort option?

This would make setting up a report so much quicker instead of getting part way through a set up only to find the field you want to display is not an option in the report being used.
