Alloowing certificates to be issued to international students without a USI

Rob Rossiter 27 Sep, 11:55 AEST We are now working with international students who require a certificate to be issued. They are exempt from requiring a USI. Currently aXcelerate will not allow you to issue a certificate without a verified USI. Below is a solution suggested by aXcelerate to allow you the issue certificates to international students. It requires editing the RTO/VET settings. Automatic Exemption from USI solution In order to bypass aXcelerate's USI security features and issue certificates for these clients we have to edit the RTO/VET Settings, issue the certificate and then change the settings back. During this time there is the risk (albeit low risk) of someone issuing a certificate for a domestic student that does not have a USI. NCVER Requirements for International students International students who are exempt from needing a USI. When they are reported to NCVER, they use the following criteria to determine their USI exemption: Request for improvement Would it be possible for aXcelerate to identify that a client has met the above 3 criteria and if so, allow their certificate to be issued without having a USI? |

The ability to record a USI exemption for international students studying offshore (INTOFF) is now available in aXcelerate. Currently, exemption codes must be applied manually against a contact record.
