workflow task deletion alternatives

It would be nice if there were some options to pause a reoccurring workflow task or make it inactive as opposed to just deleting it

  Thank you for your feedback and suggestions. 
  
  As I'm sure you're aware we have the ability to pause workflows so that they can be retained and reused in the future, has been implemented some time ago.
  
  I do apologise for the delay in updating this post to advise that this work has been completed.
