Extremely Important - Proper Security for Logging In
Due to the sensitive nature of information collected and stored within Axcelerate by (we suspect) pretty much every user of Axcelerate, there should be the ability to lock down accounts with 2 Factor Authentication.
For those unfamiliar with this - you are probably already using it if you receive a password on your phone (number of digits) to verify your login to your bank, apple, Gmail, perhaps office 365 (if your company has properly secured this) or a ton of other programs. If you don't already have this - you really should. Microsoft, Xero, Norton, Google, Apple, Cnet, techtarget and gazillions of other major corporations & articles such as PC Mag all agree this is now the top priority to secure logins (sources available or just google it yourself).
Google have a simple to use and deploy verification process (Google Authenticator) or there are plenty of other off the shelf deployment options available. Other LMS providers also now have this available already. We have contacted Axcelerate to request this feature and have been advised that this is not on the agenda and that we would need to pay $4000 for this to be developed. Accordingly, my post is 2-fold; 1) Axcelerate should deploy this feature for all users without burdening 1 client with the entire development cost 2) If Axcelerate on their own are not willing to deploy this vital security feature I need some other businesses concerned about the security of student, trainer and financial information to join me in funding it.
This is something we should not be walking towards - we should be running at full pace to address. If in doubt spend a few moments researching this issue. We are all currently in a very precarious position. I can be contacted via 07 3826 6399

I would consider contributing to development costs if it included linking to Office 365 / Azure AD for single sign-on. I agree that improvements are needed in this area but it should also be streamlined with existing security measures so that it does not become another barrier for staff, particularly those who login to aXcelerate more than a dozen times a day.
