Display Unit Outcome on Certificates as C
I noticed the recent update that includes the ability to change the display options for unit results on certificates. It would be really useful to have the option to display all competent outcomes as C or Competent (rather than RPL-G, CT, etc.)
RPL and CT are a Method of Assessment, not an outcome. The Outcome is either Competent or Not Competent.
Many of our RPL clients request their certificates to display a C outcome instead of RPL-G because employers, other training providers / universities, even Government departments discriminate against people who complete their qualifications through RPL not understanding that they person has been assessed to the same competency standard as someone who studied the course.
Our current workaround is to enter their results as C, issue the certificates and then change the results back to RPL-G so that they are reported accurately. It would be good to have the system recognise that CT and RPL-G are competent outcomes and display them as C on the certificate. I understand that not all organisations will want this function and not all students within an RTO would necessarily want this so the ability to set at Certificate Template level would be appropriate.

Hi Tomos
Thank you for breathing life into this old post.
While this specific request did not make it to our development roadmap, a feature currently exists in the Certificate Template builder which allows for Unit outcomes to be hidden from the Units of Competency table, rather than displaying outcomes not representative of the students journey with the issuing RTO.

Just in case we don't get enough support for this to be part of the continuous improvement development schedule, I am interested in this as a custom build so if someone from the dev team could quote it and share here it would be appreciated. Happy to share the cost with others that want this feature.

Hi Mark, I could see this as a potential use for the "Competency - Internal" field—would this work with your processes? In order generate a quote for custom development, a quote request will still need to be submitted, however, you are welcome to use this topic to find interested clients to share the cost with once this has been generated.
