At the moment every trainer is listed against every qualification on scope and we can identify units of competency against every trainer.

To make this more user friendly we should be able to identify trainers against qualifications and then only the trainers identified for that qualification would display and the units of competency identified from there.

When adding competencies for trainers it would be good to do that either by qualification (current situation) or by alphabetical list of units because many units are in many qualifications.

Additionally when adding evidence it would be great to be able to use for the existing portfolio items the qualifications / statements of attainment in the certificates tab from their Portfolio (Certificates that they have recieved within the system). This would then also potentially enable an existing report to list all trainers for a qualification and then we can worry about the detail of units at a secondary level. (Which would also be a work around solution to the second paragrah - above).

  I might not know how to use the trainer matrix properly but we also have the problem where it's difficult to see what qualifications or subjects a trainer has been approved to deliver. It would be good to be able to click on a trainers name and then see all qualifications and subjects within those qualifications that they are approved to train and/or assess.

  In the second release this October, we'll have a new Trainer Capabilities Report. You can sort, group and filter this report in various ways so we believe this will meet your needs.

  The trainer competencies report is useful but does not yet make the trainer matrix a simple tool. In particular the TAE Evidence / TAE Portfolio types appears to be a useless function because the only report I can run that is effective for this is a portfolio report and therefore why do double the work?
