It would be great if we could set default follow up dates by User Role (System Users tab)

As different teams within our organisation consistently use different dates. For example, our marketing team regularly set follow ups for 2 days whereas our Student Administrators consistently select the same date they upload the actual note.

  Agreed - it's like the default reminder setting in Outlook
