API-generated emails should be logged as Contact notes
Hi aXcelerate team,
Right now, if a staff member manually triggers a template email to be sent to a Contact that email is automatically logged as a note on the customer's account. This allows all staff touching the account in future to have access to the exact communications the customer received, which is a nice feature. Could we handle emails generated by API actions the same way please?
As I understand it there is currently an API endpoint to allow integration partners to add custom notes, which is good but means that the note we inject doesn't actually have a way to reference the exact email template that the customer receives - we can set it up to carry all the key data, but the templates are likely to change and evolve over time so it would be good to have a clear record of exactly what was sent. We could then be confident that all communications made to our clients out of aXcelerate are on record for if unforeseen issues arise...
