Assessment authoring 'pending' status

We have come across an issue when someone is authoring an assessment but does not have permission to publish the assessment it will go into a pending status. From pending, the only option is to publish the assessment. There is no option to edit, even to make small typo fixes, there is also no option to reject the assessment and send feedback to the original author. It would be great if from pending it can be edited straight away or an option to reject and return to the orginaiator. 

The work around is to publish and then put back to draft.

  We also experimented using this "submit for approval" feature so that assessments could be reviewed before publishing, but had to scrap it for this very reason and just request that staff tell us when things were ready for publishing. Which is annoying!
