Need for ability to update/overwrite Media Library Images

Please add the the ability to update or overwrite images in the Media library. I have graphics that need to be updated throughout the year that are used in template emails.  Currently, this requires the updated image be uploaded as a separate file (instead of overwriting/updating the existing image file), which then means the latest image is assigned a new URL and so any existing template that uses that image must also be updated with the new URL.  I spend so much time on this kind of task regularly that could be avoided if media library images could be updated/overwritten.   Thank you for your consideration
