Indicator of attempts left on an assessment question
Hi folks,
In our setup, and perhaps universally, Students have 3 attempts at a given assessment question before the answer is 'locked in' for that attempt.
Many of our students rush through, use their 3 question attempts, lock an answer, and then have no idea why they can no longer edit their response. It's not clear to them that they will then have to complete and submit the entire attempt before having another opportunity to change their answer.
Any sort of dialogue around this would be helpful.
Perhaps a (3/3 question attempts remain) appears by default, and then perhaps a short message when the 3rd (incorrect) attempt is entered (Answer finalised - please proceed to next. You have (x) attempts left at this assessment) or something similar and very clear and specific.
I think any messaging in this space would assist.
Cheers team.

Hey Ricky.
We have a 2 attempts for accredited and 3 for non-accredited, but similar.
We have added wording in each of the result types (satisfactory, try again, unsatisfactory) to try and slow or stop students from continuing. We have had limited success with that.
Id love an option to add a pass code to assessments, that we can choose to turn on/off when creating. So for like their last attempt, it would lock them out and the trainer could release it in the classroom, making sure the student wasnt racing through and understood the content.
