Improve TGA integration to check RTO's own scope
Currently, any qualification/unit can be added into aXcelerate, regardless of whether it is/has ever been on your RTO's scope. This means manual work when adding and reviewing units and quals - and manual work always leaves room for human error.
The recent TGA website overhaul may open opportunities to integrate more deeply. We would find it useful to upgrade the TGA integration to provide more direct feedback about a unit. Is it current, superseded, cancelled? Or - given our RTO code is already defined in settings - is it currently (or historically) on our RTO's scope?
My initial ideas on ways this could be useful include:
- Warnings when adding a new UoC - 'not on current scope, are you sure?'
- Visual colour-coded indicators of usage recommendation
- Workflows that help run 'checks' for changes to scope
- Warnings when issuing an SOA with accredited units that don't align with scope
The goal would be not to replace using TGA or manual work directly, but to help make that manual work run easier and aid in detecting potential mistakes/oversight.
