Parent/Guardian contact issues

We need a parents contact profile to act a little differently than a student profile. While we can see a name linked on the student profile, it's not a 2 way link, and so the parent profile is severely lacking with any information on why it exists. When we deactivate a year's cohort of students we are going to be left with 200+ random parent profiles not linked to anything and severely lacking information.

Perhaps something like an automatic contact category would help solve this? ie. would would be able to tell a parent profile and the student they are linked to from the outset on that parent profile. It would also be useful to deactivate together.

This would also be useful in the case of 'Finance Contacts' or 'VET Coordinator' profiles that are linked to organisations. At the moment it just feels as though everyone is lumped into contacts regardless of their role to the student.

We find it frustrating to have to add a whole new contact profile just to hold parent information. Ideally this would all be maintained on the student profile as everything revolves around the student. We would prefer a section that allows us to add a range of different relationships within the students profile using simple Name, Phone, Email inputs and perhaps an ability to add multiple relationships to the one student.

  Completely agree! We need to be able to see the students name/details on the parent/guardian page.
