Concession card expiry dates added to aXcelerate to assist with compliance audits
We have been made aware that many RTO's are failing audits because the expiry date for a concession card occurs before the end of the training for that student. The rational from SVTS is that if a person is ineligible for a renewal of their concession card then they become ineligible for a concession for training. In this situation the RTO is claiming for a concession top up form the government for students who have lost this eligibility.
Suggested solution:
If aXcelerate adds an expiry date field alongside the recording of the concession card, a report can be run monthly to alert the RTO of which students need to supply the new concession card detail.
A secondary consideration will be the ability to turn off the concession claim at the unit level. This will allow the RTO to claim for units where the student was eligible and at least get some of the top up form the government.
I would suggest all RTO's alert themselves to this issue because it will be an auditable activity this year and they will claim back a funding paid back to the concession card expiry date

Hi Rob, great idea! One suggestion to address the first requirement for clients using custom fields (note: there is a one-time fee to enable this feature) would be to add a class enrolment custom field for "Concession Expiry Date" and then use a "Class Enrolments - Warehoused" report to find all expiration dates within the "Next N Days". This report could then be generated on a schedule and sent to a user with the Workflow Automation system. It would also be great to hear how other clients handle this within aXcelerate.
