Additional field for maiden name / previous name on contact record

It would be useful to have an additional last name field to record a students maiden name or previous last name for tracking purposes in situations where 

A student enrols under a current name but the USI may have been issued in a different name.  

Or if they are a returning student who has changed their name since their last enrollment
