It would be great if there can be a section where students can sign assessments:

- Sign a student declaration when commencing an assessment

- Have a final declaration (confirming they acknowledge and accept the results)

Note: I know there is a declaration which is good, however this does not cover all the requirements, set out in the standards.

Cloud Assess and other LMSs have this capability which makes them very appealing to use, as they allow us to be more compliant, without having to find work arounds in the system

  Thank you for your feedback. 

  Once a student provides their signature, what do you want to do with it? Eg:

  • Simply store it for recordkeeping at a later point in time
  • Report on it

  I'm just trying to understand the use-case a bit better...

  Hi Mark,

  I agree with Dannielle.

  As a requirement, we need students to acknowledge that they understand and agree to the way they are being assessed before the assessment begins. We could set up a question to start with that has checkboxes, but then this would count as Item 1 and would look a bit weird.

  Are you referencing an RTO standard? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to understand the exact need so that I can understand the problem in its entirety.

  Yes, we have done this in the past to demonstrate 'Fairness' for the Principles of Assessment (Clause 1.8—Table 1.8-1).

  It would just need to be on the assessment as recordkeeping to show that the student acknowledges they have been taken through the assessment process.
