Enabling Tagged Items to be retained in search views

When working in the Assessment Library, I search via a tag to enable all assessments for one program to show. As soon as I click off that page, it reverts back to no tag, and all assessment items are displayed. Can we have the ability to retain the tag setting until we manually clear all filters?

Ditto for filters in the Manage Assessments view. The only filter which is always retained is the Sort By filter. All the others disappear even when you 'Apply Filter'. It's super annoying.
