Knowledge Deficiency Report for Assessments
I would like a feature where, if a student attempts an assessment and does not achieve a passing mark (e.g., 80%), the system automatically generates a Knowledge Deficiency Report (KDR). This KDR should be accessible in various formats—emailed directly to the student, visible in their Learner portal, or provided as an Excel document, PDF, etc.
Rather than simply showing the students the questions, they got wrong or providing little or no feedback at all, I propose an alternative approach. For each incorrect answer, the student should receive relevant details from the "Optional Title" associated with that question (e.g., for AVIY0027 - Coanda Effect). This provides targeted feedback that helps guide the student in their review while maintaining the integrity of the assessment.
The KDR should also include sections for both the Assessor's and the student's signatures to ensure acknowledgment and verification.
Implementing this feature would not only enhance student learning but also significantly improve compliance with regulators such as CASA, while offering substantial time-saving benefits.
