To begin using the AI Short Answer Assessment Marking Assistant, navigate to the quiz that contains short answer questions. Multiple Choice and Multiple Answer questions are already marked automatically, and now we've made it easier to mark short answer questions as well.
Marking an Assessment
Warning: Before requesting an AI suggestion for feedback and a mark, make sure no personal information in included in the student submission, model answer, or other information fields relevant to the assessment. This information will be sent to a third party for processing.
- Open the quiz containing the short answer questions you need to mark.
- Click the "Suggest feedback and a mark" button
- Review the AI-generated suggestion, which includes a proposed mark and feedback for the learner.
- If the AI's suggestion is satisfactory, you can click the "Copy as feedback →" button to copy the feedback to the feedback tab.
- Confirm the mark and feedback by clicking the save button.
How It Works
The AI analyses the learner's response and compares it to the model answer and any additional criteria provided in the assessment. Based on this comparison, the AI generates a smart suggestion for feedback and a mark.
