Getting there

1. Navigate to the Assessments section, and then proceed to Management.
   
2. This will lead you to the assessment authoring section of aXcelerate, where you can either choose to work on a draft assessment or create a new assessment.
   
   
   • If you are editing an existing assessment, once selected, open the assessment in Authoring.
     

Generating questions

1. Opening the AI generator:
   • Once in the authoring interface for a specific assessment, click on the Generate Content button located at the top of the interface.
     
   • A window will open, offering you the option to input text directly or upload a document containing your content.
     
2. Inputting Content:
   • Either paste the text you've prepared into the provided text field, or upload a PDF containing the content you'd like to use for question generation.
     • Tip: if you use the text input option, you can customise the output by including instructions before you paste the content (e.g. specify type of questions and number of questions).
   • Click on Start Generating to initiate the AI-driven question generation process.
3. Reviewing Generated Questions:
   • aXcelerate, in collaboration with a third-party AI processor, will generate a set of questions based on the provided content.
   • You can expect to see multiple-choice questions, multiple answer questions, and short answer questions.
   • The system will automatically populate the questions, the possible answers, and select the correct answer for you.
4. Iterating the Process:
   • If needed, you can repeat the process within the same assessment by clicking on Generate Content again, adding more AI-generated questions to your assessment.

Finalising Your Assessment

1. Accuracy Check:
   • Once you have all your AI-generated questions, take a moment to review them for accuracy and relevance.
2. Completion:
   • After reviewing and making any necessary adjustments, your assessment with AI-generated questions is ready to go.
