With simple drag and drop functionality, Assessment Mapping allows you to quickly and easily outline the linkage between your training items and your assessment tasks.
Assessments
Mapping
The Assessment Mapping area is particularly useful as it allows you to:
- Record all of your mapping information in aXcelerate
- Easily provide this information to auditors if necessary
- Create default links to your units to easily map these in your assessment plans or instances
Tip: The qualifications and units that appear in your mapping area will depend on what is in your qualification scope. You can easily add a qualification to your scope by clicking the + Create New Qualification button. For more information on creating new Qualification, please see our article on this. If you cannot see a qualification from your scope, please contact our Customer Support Team.
Note: Assessment mapping is not mandatory and can be skipped without hindering functionality. However, we highly recommend doing this as without mapping, this may require extra steps when linking an assessment to a class.
Map an assessment task
When mapping an assessment task, you have the ability to map at two different levels, the whole Unit to the Assessment Task and the Unit Items to the Assessment Items. However, in order for this mapping to be automatically shown in an assessment plan or elsewhere in the system, the assessment task must be mapped to the whole unit.
- Drill down to your applicable Mapping Level
- Drag and drop your Assessment Task or Item onto the Unit or Unit Item
Tip: To drill down into an assessment or qualification, click the item.
Warning: When mapping, if you are attempting to map an item to the wrong level, the item will highlight in red.
Review Assessment Mapping
This feature allows you to see a detailed overview of all of the mapping between an Assessment Task and a Unit within a Qualification.
- Hover over the Qualification you wish to view the mapping for
- Click the Review Mapping icon
- Select a Unit
Tip: For further information on Reviewing Assessment Mapping data, please refer to our Assessment Mapping Review help article.
