Core Settings allow you to set or change a number of system variables prior to the first usage of the system. These variables include items such as the organisation's name, contact email addresses, common terminology used throughout your system and more.

Configure your basic settings
Update Semester Dates
This option allows you to set up default semester dates to apply when timetabling your Class.
Update Class Period Times
This option allows you to set up timed Class Periods to apply to a pattern when timetabling your Class. This feature is not enabled by default. If you would like this enabled, please contact our Customer Success team.

Account ID
This displays your unique aXcelerate account ID. This cannot be changed and is displayed for reference only.
Main Logo
This setting is used to set the logo that appears in the top left corner of aXcelerate. Click "Update main logo" to select an image to be used. Note that your desired image must first be added to the Media Library before it can be selected here.
Training Administrator Email Address
This field stores the contact email address of the person who will handle any questions or emails regarding training program administration. This will be used for most notification emails, unless specified by a Custom SMTP. We recommend using a generic email address that is monitored such as training@[your organisation name].com.au.
Organisation Name
This field that stores your Organisation Name that is used for AVETMISS Reporting and can be dynamically included in your Templates. If you are an AVETMISS Reporting RTO, the Organisation name that you enter into this field must match the organisation name held by your State Training Authority. If this does not match, you may receive data submission errors or non-payment of claims.
Organisation Phone and Facsimile Number
These fields store your organisation contact and facsimile number. These fields can be dynamically included in your templates.
User Interface Primary Colour
This dropdown controls the primary colour used in your aXcelerate account, for example, the headers in forms.
User Interface Highlight Colour
This dropdown controls the highlight colour used in your aXcelerate account, for example, the submit/save button in forms throughout aXcelerate.
Finance Contact
This field stores your finance contact. This can be dynamically included in your templates.
Account Time Zone
This dropdown allows you to select a time zone region to allow for aXcelerate to handle daylight savings transitions. You can choose a specific time zone offset from the dropdown.
Customise system terminology
When configuring your aXcelerate account you have the option to change some of the terminology used throughout aXcelerate to accommodate the specific terms your organisation uses.
Person who Facilitates Training
The default term used in this field is Trainer. Some organisations use the term consultant and other organisations use the word teacher or facilitator.
Training Participant
The default term used in this field is Student. Some organisations use the term student and other organisations use the word participant, learner or trainee.
Multi-part Training Course
The default term used in this field is Program. This setting applies to multi-day, multi-part or modularised training program. Some organisations use the term Program and other organisations use the word Program, Course or Qualification.
Singular Training Event
The default term used in this field is Workshop. Some organisations use the term Workshop and other organisations use the word Short Course, Course, Session or Activity
An instance of a multi-part Training Course
The default term used in this field is Class. This is an instance of a Program (Qualification). Some organisations use the term Cohort, Intake or Group.
Accredited Unit of Competency
The default term used in this field is Subject. Some organisations use the term Subject or Unit of Competency.
A group of accredited Units of Competency
The default term used in this field is Module. This is a group of Subjects or Units of Competency. Some organisations use the term Unit of Study, Cluster or Group.
Common Term for a Semester/Term
The default term used in this field is Semester. Some organisations use the term Term.
Common Term for a Learner Portal Activity
The default term used in this field is Activity. Some organisations use the term Course.
Common Term for a Sales Representative
The default term used in this field is Agent. Some organisations use the term Sales Representative.
Tips: It is recommended that the default terminology is used in your system so that it remains consistent with our knowledgebase. Utilising the default system terminology will also help our technical support team to better assist you.
Note: Terms must be entered in the singular tense e.g 'Workshop'.
