The aXcelerate App equips your trainers with the tools to deliver exceptional training and assessment anywhere, anytime.
Designed for trainers on the go, this powerful upgrade puts your workshops, classes, assessments and learner management tools right at your fingertips, even when you're offline.
Whether you're training in a classroom or moving between sessions, you can mark attendance, deliver assessments, and access learner info with ease. With catered workshops and classes and smart filters, the aXcelerate App is built to make training delivery smoother, faster and more flexible than ever before. For those out in the field, offline support is available for assessment delivery and marking.

- Workshop and Class Visibility - Easily access a list of your workshops and classes organised by current & upcoming, past or all. And further filter by trainer, location, or room for even greater control.

- Offline Functionality - Continue delivering training in remote or low-connectivity environments. Prepare to go offline by downloading your workshops and classes in advance. Then have access to all associated assessments, enabling you to deliver them while offline.
- Automatic Syncing and Secure Storage - All data entered while offline is securely stored and synced automatically once back online. For added security, all offline data is wiped if a different user logs in on the same device.
Note: The aXcelerate app replaces the aXcelerate Trainer app, which has been deprecated.
Download the aXcelerate App
The aXcelerate App is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
To download the app:
- Open your devices App Store.
- Search for 'aXcelerate' (green icon).
- Download the App
Log in to the aXcelerate App
To log into the app, simply select your usual login method from the options presented.
The app will default to your Production (Live) account. Your Staging account can be accessed within the app by using the settings cog at the bottom right of the login screen.

To get around the aX app, use the main navigation tabs located at the bottom of the display. Tapping a tab will take you to a different section of the app where you can complete various actions, which are explained below:
Name
Description
Workshops
The workshops section will display any workshops the user has been assigned to. The default view for this tab will display current and upcoming workshops, but this can be updated to show past or all workshops, and further filters can be added for additional granularity.
Calendar
The calendar tab will display all events related to the current user, and can be selected to navigate directly to the related element.
Trainees
The trainees tab will display any Trainees with a work placement who are assigned to you as their supervisor. Select one of your Trainees to see their details, mark their attendance and review their Logbook Entries. This tab will only be relevant to those using Work-Based Learning.
Classes
The classes tab will display a list of classes assigned to the user and can be filtered by date. Selecting a class from the list will allow you to view enrolled learners and deliver any related assessments.
Profile
The profile tab will display information about the signed-in user, including name, email, phone and emergency contact details and will allow a user to edit their profile.
Search
The search tab will allow you to search for a contact by name or contact ID. Once a contact has been selected, you will be able to view their details, including contact information, vet details or organisation details.
Marking and delivering assessment within the aXcelerate App
From the Workshops tab
- Select the Workshop instance.
- Select the Assessments tab.
- Select the Assessment from the list or use the filter options to find it.
- At this point, choose your preferred marking method:
Option A: Mark by Learner (for grading one student's assessment)
From the Learners tab, select a learner.
Select ‘Begin Marking’ to grade each item from the start, or select an assessment item to start grading from that item, OR
Select ‘Bulk Mark’ to grade all of their items at once.
Option B: Mark by Item (for grading one question for all students)
From the Items tab, select the specific item you wish to mark for all enrolled learners.
Individually mark the Learners in the list, or select multiple students and 'Bulk mark'.
- Once all required items have been marked, select ‘Finalise Attempt’ to review the submission.
- Mark the attempt as satisfactory or unsatisfactory, then select ‘Finalise Submission’ to complete the marking process.
From the Classes tab
- Select the Class instance.
- Select the Assessments tab.
- Select the Assessment from the list or use the filter options to find it.
- At this point, choose your preferred marking method:

- Mark the attempt as satisfactory or unsatisfactory, then select ‘Finalise Submission’ to complete the marking process.
Note: You can capture both Trainer and Learner signatures at the end of assessment marking based on the assessment's configuration.
Tip: If multiple Learners are ready to be finalised at the same time, you can use the bulk finalise function to verify multiple learners in one action.

Marking Workshop attendance
Attendance can be marked from within the Workshops tab by navigating to the workshop instance and selecting Mark Attendance at the bottom of the Learners tab.
Attendance can be marked individually by selecting the learner or in bulk by selecting numerous learners. Once you have selected the students and the status you wish to apply, select Submit Attendance at the bottom of the screen.
To mark attendance for a different session, select the dropdown arrow to the right of the Session and then select the new Session you would like to mark.
Tip: If you want to customise the arrival or departure time of a Learner after marking their attendance, tap and hold the Learner to bring up an attendance details menu.
Marking Work Placement attendance
When viewing a Trainee's profile, click on the Attendance tab to view the scheduled days in the past they were meant to attend their Placement and mark their attendance.
- Click on the Trainees tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Select a Trainee.
- Click on the Attendance tab.
- Select a Placement Visit with unmarked attendance.
- Set an Attendance status.
Edit personal details in the aXcelerate App
The Profile tab of the app will allow you to view and edit your personal information and emergency contact details:
- Click the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the Edit Icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Edit your details as required
- Click Save
Using the aXcelerate App offline
The aXcelerate App provides access to a core set of features for use when an internet connection is unavailable. This allows you to continue working on essential tasks, such as marking downloaded assessments, reviewing Logbook entries, and providing feedback.
To make this information available offline, there are two methods.
As you navigate through the app, the data you view will be automatically downloaded to your device for quick access.
However, the most reliable method for offline activity is to prepare to go offline by downloading the specific workshops and classes you expect to use, which can be done via the 'more' menu.
All updates made while offline will then be saved to your device and will sync automatically when an internet connection is restored.
Download data to access offline
Prepare to go offline by downloading everything you need.
For Workshops:
Navigate to the Workshops tab.
Locate and select the Workshop instance.
Select the three dots in the top right corner.
Select ‘Download Workshop Data'.
For Classes:
Navigate to the Classes tab.
Locate and select the Class instance.
Select the three dots in the top right corner.
Select ‘Download Class Data'.
Tip: A green downloaded icon will appear against instances with downloaded data in your workshops and classes lists.
Once downloaded, assessments can be marked by following the usual marking process, and any changes made will be synced when you return online.
Warning: To ensure data security, all local data is wiped from the device if a different user logs into the aXcelerate App from the same device.
aXcelerate App calendar
The aXcelerate app calendar will display events linked to the signed in trainer.
The calendar overview will display the current date and a snapshot of any upcoming events. To view more information about an event, select the event from the list. To view a different date, select the calendar icon in the top right corner to expand the calendar, then select the required date.
Logging out of the aXcelerate App
To log out of the aXcelerate app, select the profile icon in the top left corner, then select the Logout option at the bottom of the list.

Is the app useful for an Admin user?
The aXcelerate App has been designed with Trainers in mind, to allow quick and functional access to the core parts of aXcelerate to complete their training on-site or in class.
For example, Calendar events will only appear in your aXcelerate App if you are attending the event, whereas admins using the web app can see all events. As such, we recommend admin users log in as normal using their browser to access the full scope of aXcelerate.
Why does the app take a long time to load sometimes?
Currently, the app will load all data linked to the object being loaded. This means that if you have a large number of related elements, such as assessments, it will take some time to load all related enrolments. Planned improvements to the app will address performance issues in the future.
Why are some workshops not appearing in the app?
Workshops appear based on sessions occurring within four weeks of today’s date.
If your workshop doesn’t have a session scheduled within the next or previous four weeks, it will not appear. There are also planned improvements to ensure workshops appear when you expect them to.
What does this mean for the old trainer app?
The old Trainer App has been deprecated and is no longer supported, or available to download.
