The new vertical navigation is now live for all users, replacing the classic menu. We understand that adjusting to a new layout can take time, and we appreciate your flexibility as you get familiar with these improvements.
While most items remain in their usual places, the updated structure presents them more clearly, making it easier to find what you need in the long term.
The new navigation is also more intuitive for new team members, helping streamline onboarding. Although the transition has now occurred, we’re here to support you, and we hope you find the new layout a smoother, more efficient way to work.
What are the benefits of the new navigation?

Initial updates to Navigation
The initial updates to the primary navigation menu include:
- Shifting the primary navigation menu to a vertical layout on the left-hand side.
- Moving the account switcher to open when you click the logo of your current account.
- A new Add New button will enable users to quickly create new contacts, classes, workflows, and more.
- A new search that lets you quickly search navigation menu items and contacts, and can also be opened using the Ctrl + K keyboard shortcut (Cmd + K on a Mac).
- A dedicated link, 'Go to detailed results' has been added to the search results panel, enabling users to view and filter all returned results. Support has also been added to allow users to open a contact in a new window using Cmd + enter or Ctrl + Enter, or in a new tab using Shift + Enter.
- Workshops, Classes (formerly Accredited Training), and Learning (formerly E-Learning) are no longer submenus of Courses but their own menus.
- Quality (formerly Quality Goals / Tasks)and Surveys are also now their own menus, no longer submenus under Quality.
- Help Requests and Work-based Learning are both now easily accessible from the main menu, instead of hidden in submenus.
New navigation, Multi-RTO and linked accounts
For security and performance reasons, changes to multi-rto login will be implemented as part of the roll out of the new navigation menu. These changes include the deprecation of the classic account switcher for multi-rto clients.
Users can switch between linked accounts that share the same login method. To switch between accounts, select the account name in the top left corner, then select the user from the list of linked accounts populated below the icon.
Any user accounts currently linked to the same login method will appear automatically when selecting the account logo or name in the top left of the new navigation menu. If you have an account that does not appear, this will need to be linked to the same login method as your primary account.
Once you have decided which login method you would like to use for all accounts, you will need to log into any user account that is not currently linked to that login method following the steps in our Login user guide found here or by navigating directly to the relevant section for each step, by selecting the links below.
- Open your user menu by clicking on your profile photo or initials in the top-right corner.
- Navigate to your user account and Unlink the authentication (login) method.
- Issue a new user invitation email to link this user account to your chosen login method.
- Finally, once you have received the new user invite email, click the link and then select the ‘Already have an account? Sign in here’ option, which will allow you to sign in with the login method you will use to link multiple accounts.
