The primary navigation menu in aXcelerate is being updated. These changes will improve usability and provide a modern experience to support the platform's growing functionality.
Currently the new navigation is available as part of a closed beta. Each user is required to opt-in. See aXcelerate's Beta Program terms for more details.

What is changing?
The initial updates to the primary navigation menu include:
- Shifting the primary navigation menu to a vertical layout on the left-hand side.
- Moving the account switcher to open when you click the logo of your current account.
- A new Add New button will enable users to quickly create new contacts, classes, workflows, and more.
- A new search that lets you quickly search navigation menu items and contacts, and can also be opened using the Ctrl + K keyboard shortcut (Cmd + K on a Mac).
- Workshops, Classes (formerly Accredited Training), and Learning (formerly E-Learning) are no longer submenus of Courses but their own menus.
- Quality (formerly Quality Goals / Tasks)and Surveys are also now their own menus, no longer submenus under Quality.
- Help Requests and Work-based Learning are both now easily accessible from the main menu, instead of hidden in submenus.
Why is the navigation menu changing?
The updates are driven by:
- Making it easy to find what you're looking for.
- Making it easy to train new staff in how to use aXcelerate.
- Modernising the app to provide a modern, user-friendly experience and bring aXcelerate's navigation in line with modern design standards.
- Enabling easy access to more features as aXcelerate continues to expand its functionality.
Who will the changes affect?
The following role types will be affected: Admins, Trainers, and Partners.
When is it changing?
The rollout schedule includes:
- Closed beta: Starting late November 2024 with select clients. Users can switch between the old and new navigation menus.
- Open beta: Starting January/February 2025. Clients will receive notice of a hard date for a full switch-over.
- Full switch-over: Targeted for April 2025 after feedback has been gathered and adjustments made.
How do I switch to the new navigation if I'm part of the Closed Beta?
- Open your user menu by clicking on your profile photo or initials in the top-right corner.
- Click “Switch to new navigation.” This will switch your current aXcelerate session to use the new navigation. If you change devices or clear your cookies, you will need to switch again. Only users who manually switch will see the new navigation.
- To switch back: Open your user menu in the new navigation, now in the bottom-left corner. Click “Switch to classic navigation”.
What if I don't want it to change?
We understand that adapting to change can be challenging. Keep in mind:
- The major change is just shifting the menu layout to vertical, keeping most items the same.
- You will have time to adjust during the trial period and can switch between the old and new menus.
- We will provide notice well in advance of the final switch date.
- New employees will find the updated navigation easier to learn.
- The new navigation will make things easier to find in the long-term.
